What is the culture like at Custom Climates?
Custom Climates strives to have the best balance for work and life. Unlike many other contracting companies that are experiencing technician burnout, we strive to not push our people past what is reasonable. Obviously work needs to get done and everyone in this business knows that there are times when the sun shines or when the snow falls when things are very busy and we need to be there for our customers. But our main focus is our employees being happy and having a happy life outside of work. Our management team sets the tone for the “family is first” attitude. This is priority #1 at Custom Climates.
While at work, we take seriously the need to get the work done and have it done right, however, we also know how to relax, joke, and not take things too seriously. Custom Climates offers a nice balance between the two. On top of that, we also consider ourselves a higher-end contractor and our customer base reflects that. Our customers expect the best and we strive to offer the best.
What does Custom Climates offer for pay and benefits?
Custom Climates works hard to offer a very competitive pay and benefits package. Fully licensed and qualified technicians will earn between $25-40/hr. We have salary options for those that desire a more stable and consistent pay structure. A helper we bring on will earn between $17-19/hr until some certifications or licensing is acquired. We have a nice bonus program to help give many opportunities to earn more money throughout the year.
The base benefits package includes:
- Health Insurance
- Dental and Vision
- Long Term/Short Term Disability
- Life Insurance
- Vacation and Paid Sick Days
- Company Vehicle (Lead Techs)
- Paid Schooling and Training
Custom Climates is very concerned about our people. They take care of us and we work hard to take care of them. This is why we expect top performance and professionalism of our employees.
What are the opportunities for advancement at Custom Climates?
Custom Climates is growing, and we are a company that has not been passed down from generation to generation, so we don’t fill positions with family members like many established companies in our area. We are looking for the best people to help us grow and add to the company. This will require new leadership and there are opportunities for that growth. A medium-sized company is a very difficult position to reach as an HVAC contractor. Most large companies have been well established for decades and most small companies never make the jump to the medium size successfully. Custom Climates is a primed size company to get into for the best potential for growth.
